What an uneventful day we just survived :o We heard that the cold weather accompanied by high winds all day prevented many birds from carrying out their usual fishing routines, and GJ was among them... until evening, when he turned up for the first time on-cam with a very fine fat headless fish.
This could be compliments of MOFFER or LIMPY, who both posted a similar batch of snaps. It shows the girth of the fish very well.
The rest of the evening was plagued with cam up-n-downs but it seems to be steady now.
EJ has looked rather doddery, maybe the windiness kept her off-balance. She has settled with a good tail portion of fish for company, only the fin showing at midnight;

GJ has flown off with the "unwanted" fish for the second time. What's up, EJ?
He's back.
There must be an intruder or she would have taken the fish. He has flown again.

Food time, SYAL :)
The sun has just come out here. Good to remember what it looks like.
EJ is quiet, sitting with the sunshine.

Intruder alert
16.26 An intruder came over the nest, EJ got up, called and mantled. I saw feet/talons but that was all.
She is quiet now
16.28 EJ is intruder calling again...
I saw feet above the nest, and shadow as it flew over.
16.29 Another call from EJ who is looking around. She is just watching now.
Back again
I hopeEJ hasn't missed the opportunity to have fish
