Summary of the season so far:
Maya arrived back 12 March and Blue 33(11),on 14 March. The pair are currently incubating three eggs - #1 laid 28 March, #2 laid 31 March and #3 on 3 April.
Maya and 33 have incubated these eggs for 34 days now and in a few days we should see the first hatching of the season and another record broken!
Maya arrives back to take over incubating from 33
33 takes off

And Maya sat straight down on the eggs so I don't think there's any action just yet.
Well caught Alison.
Birdies LG DU update.
No ALison, nothing yet.
33 has returned and Maya flown. She probably knows she is nearing the last of her freedom as she will be on the nest from hatching.
33 had good look at the eggs and then fiddled with a stick for a bit
and then settled down on the eggs.
I love hatching time but I always feel so sorry for 33 as he just loves to sit.
Off out for a bit - SYAL
There's an intruder about. 33 has been mantling on the nest, but has now flown.

33 flies in with a stick. Maya gets straight up and flies off. He settles.
Have just watched Maya enjoying a fly around the bay and now returns
33 rises and gets ready to fly off
Maya checks the eggs - all looking fine
and then settles down. She is looking a little dozy :-)
Since I last looked in they have changed over again - can't keep up with this pair :-)
A large bunch of fresh hay being brought in by Maya
now tearing it all up as 33 looks on
And Maya then flies off .... more hay???
So are we looking forward to a record early hatch? Maya has a habit of being a bit late with the first hatching so maybe it will be Saturday or Sunday.

This pair are really smashing the records. I am not sure what the earliest hatch is - does anyone know?
But I think we'll see hatch here tomorrow.
