Summary of the season so far:
Maya arrived back 12 March and Blue 33(11),on 14 March. The pair are currently incubating three eggs - #1 laid 28 March, #2 laid 31 March and #3 on 3 April.
Maya and 33 have incubated these eggs for 34 days now and in a few days we should see the first hatching of the season and another record broken!
Unfortunately heavy rain is forecast for today but from tomorrow onwards, it is to be dry and quite warm - perfect for hatching
It's beginning to look quite dull now - Maya continues to incubate

Something is bothering Maya. I have watched her for several minutes and she is really alert, her head is on a swivel and looking skywards. I did see what I think was an Egyptian Goose fly from left to right behind her BUT she was looking towards us.
Birdies LG DU update.
raining now :-(
Hi Mike - I noticed earlier that Maya looked quite alert and was looking around but she was not mantling nor was there any screeching.
I have wondered about 6K, 33's brother who has taken up residence at Lagoon 4, if he is flying around also he will be trying to attract a mate so we could see some females.
Also S1(15) was fishing at Horn Mill so could he be around as I think it was 11 May last year he popped in to say hello.
And of course, it could also be those EGs - they are never far away!
But whatever it is, I hope there are no disturbances here especially as we are soon approaching hatching.
Spoke too soon!!
Someone flying around. Maya is calling and looking up.
She now seems to have settled, hopefully just something flying over.
Indeed Karen. Last thing we need right now!
I'm off out for a bit - SYAL
Posts crossed!
Poor Maya and I am afraid this will be the scene for the day!
