Hi All: Just got in from movies (Three Billboards....); pizza in the oven. Back later.
Good afternoon, all. I finally managed to post my Minsmere photos - click on this lovely egret to see the rest:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Glad you enjoyed the day Clare. Thanks for the photos.
Birdies LG DU update.
CLARE - a lovely selection of great photos of such varied birds. I can imagine Robin chasing the Black Redstart - that shape looks so similar to another Robin intruding!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
EE Very Happy Birthday.
Well the Irish paella was made with beef stock and Guiness! We did not partake, instead chose more Spanish type tapas!
OG- I have a small appetite but can't get my head around not having dinner in evening because you had cooked breakfast! Anyway, enjoy the birthday cake xx
Happy birthday EE from me too.
Had a sprinkiing of snow today but has disappeared. Blustry winds and expected snowfall during the night - that's if it materializes.
Happy St. Patricks Day

Just getting hosed down after a day spent mostly in the sunshine - I keep out of it at lunchtime when it's at its strongest. Here is a pic taken from our balcony this morning:
Hope you, J and EE enjoyed the birthday cake, OG!
........ Off to take a quick look at Clare's pics now.
Happy birthday EE.
Heather, Irish paella with Guinness!, why didn't I think of that! I like Guinness, but not in paella. Beef stock is a definite no no too.
I once had a very good recipe for Guinness cake. I must try to find it. That does work, beautifully.
I hope Pat has a good journey home, and does not get held up anywhere.
I have just looked at Clare's pics. The redstart is beautiful, and I always like to see birds in flight.
Thanks, Clare.
