The purpose of this thread is to record the day-to-day activity at the Manton Bay nest thus freeing up the Rutland Osprey Project 2018 thread for general news on all the other birds, nests and projects.
Details about the Manton Bay nest, including a table of the breeding data, can be found here.
Last year we were thrilled to see both Maya and Blue 33(11) return within hours of each other on the 22 March and I am sure I speak for us all in wishing them both a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
Both are back again, looking around :-)

Morning Scylla, Mary and All
This is one morning I could not resist logging on before going out with my dog!
A mating! - great capture Scylla - I think that tells us all :-))
As I type, Maya has just flown in followed by Blue 33 and another mating attempt
(c) ROP
Both on the nest now.
What a wonderful sight and how extraordinary that both are back so early.
Welcome home Blue 33 :-)
I must go out for a bit now - my dog is glaring at me - BBL :-)
I think one has gone to the perch, as the other followed with adoring eye's AWWW LOL
It is the BR left on the nest. Doing some housework. It's got to be 33 :-)
Gone now.
Morning Karen - I'm so glad you're not keeping your dog waiting too long ;)
I'm waiting for this session to come to a natural break, and I see that Blue33 has done some pottering, to be included... and now he's left :)

Good morning ladies. What a start to the day!
Birdies LG DU update.
Morning Karen
Enjoy your walk.
I wonder if one of the well known BC's members alarm has gone on the blink ROTFL....
Drat just went back to check previous page, and guess who slipped in there :-)

Any of them will do, you chose Scylla. I think I prefer the sunrise cam ha ha (the bottom one).
