It's finally March and our birds will start to return this month.
BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Clare, thanks for starting this new thread. Ian
Urdaibai - yesterday there was snow on the ground, today (at the moment) there is an osprey on the post! Blink, and it's gone!

Thank you Sheila. Camera person is active, zooming, panning etc.
Birdies LG DU update.
Thanks for the new thread, Clare!
Kind regards, Ann
I imagine the biggest question of the incoming season must be whether EJ the Beautiful will return. I can't write her off - despite her increasing age she hatched three eggs last year and protected them in all weathers. She also held on to her nest for two months despite having no support, and she looked in good shape before she disappeared. I'm keeping everything crossed!
An accurate summary Clare which is a positive as it can be. All we can do is hope.
Hello fellow ospreyholics - are you getting excited about the forthcoming season? Stupid question, of course you are :-)
Question: Where is Tiger?
It is so unusual not to see his pre-season summary, I so hope he is not ill and if so, my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hello all, the count down has started and the excitement and expectations begin.
Clare, I also have everything crossed and do so hope to see the beautiful lady herself and HRH the magestic Odin, yes I have not written either off, miracles can happen.
Merlin, Tiger has started the thread for when EJ will arrive.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Hello everyone. The countdown has well and truly begun. Here's to a great successful season.
