BEST WISHES for a PROSPEROUS, HEALTHY AND HAPPY 2018 for all Gabbers and fans of the historic Loch Garten Osprey Nest and other osprey followers.
viewing is good for me this morning. Actually, middle of night for me (3:00 a.m.). I should be sleep, but I'm not, so came to the computer knowing it would be early morning in UK - a time when nests are often active. Anyway I got a good look at the egg at Manton Bay and still a glimpse as I made this capture.
Windy day at Loch Garten. EJ's feathers are all over the place.
Good afternoon all. I have been reading the comings and goings but not posted. Im so pleased that the beautiful EJ has returned and looking so well! Wonder if Odin will return? I somehow doubt it but thought that about EJ too, we just never know what to expect. I just hope she will find a suitable mate who can protect and provide for her. Id love her to have a happier season this year.
WILLOW I am DELIGHTED to see you back. At first, as I said to Ann, I was OK with your being away, but recently I have been becoming more & more concerned. I knew you would be happy to see EJ and couldn't imagine why you were not here to say so. Anyway, I am happy to know that all is well with you. I just hope you won't stay away so long this time.
NOW WHAT?! Is this something on the nest or something on the lens?
June, it is water on the camera lense, much of the UK had heavy rain/sleet today. Ian
I had to laugh June, I never noticed who it was that posted before you and thought that EJ's fellow Willow was home!
Goodness knows what is wrong with the view there!
Edit, I should have added today is a work day and was out after work so catching up now, have not looked at today's DU at LG.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
surpise! I looked in on the nest, expecting to find it empty. But no! There sat EJ in her favorite watching-for-Odin position.
No EJ, just rain, snow or sleet coming down in long thick streaks. I actually captures a few of them even tho my computer does not like to do that.
