  • Clare - that's one cute kitten.  Wish I could give her a home ... but glad to hear someone else is able to do so.

  • Clare: That kitten is adorable. Glad someone is taking her in.

  • Have just flagged one of my own posts, as "abuse", as I was scrolling the page -- doh!

Off to sleep now, another busy day tomorrow.

  • Good  Morning, All.  A bright strip of red on the horizon this morning, as the sun comes up.

Just been reading Annette's Mountain Lion link. Fascinating, and a real dilemma for farmers with livestock.

  • Aren't they just gorgeous.

  • Could any computer experts here answer this question - my broadband here in Inverness is incredibly slow in the mornings around 0830 for maybe an hour. Is this because loads of folk are logging on and the system can't cope? I don't seem to be able to access 'larger' websites at this time. Or could it be that the websites themselves are overcrowded?

  • Heather....I'm certainly no expert but I'd guess it is down to overall demand as you suggest.

  • I wouldn't class myself as a 'computer expert', Heather, but I think both your explanations are probably at least a part of the reason.  Mine slows down in the early evening, probably for the same reasons.  If anyone out there who is a proper 'expert', perhaps they have a more technical explanation?

  • I'm no expert - I just assume that computers and everything related to them are naturally perverse, with a very warped sense of humour.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
