Hi folks, It was a windy and damp day yesterday. Lots of vigorous exercising by Middle and Youngest. Thought at one time the middle one would take off, it was certainly doing so across the nest. I think 5 fish in all were delivered by both parents between them. All at rest now. Ahhhhhhhhnight, night, see you all in the morning.

#1 chick reminds me of Dillon our retriever. The minute food arrives on the nest, #1 will arrive on the nest in an instant. The same with Dillon, he might be nowhere in sight but open the fridge and bring out the cheese box and he will appear in a flash.
Yet again we wake up to heavy rain in the north, wonder if our chicks think oh no, not again.Poor things look so bedraggled.
Yet again, what a miserable scene.
Thanks, as always for the earlier reports and pictures. Good to hear they have already been well fed.
Ah ... the invisible 'chick' just poked its head out from the left!

I just checked the Met Office forecast for Aviemore and it says by 4pm the sun will be shining!!
Although they look very damp, I noticed straight away that there is nothing like the wind of yesterday- & now the 'visible' chick is having a good bit of wingercise.
I just love it when they shriek with 'excitement' when they finish wingercising!
Thanks to everyone for the pics as well as the all-night diary, makes me realise that they are fed more than I see. Many birds don't consider our night time as a time for rest, do they? Waders and gulls live and feed by the tides.
All three juveniles have almost lost their scaly look. It getts more and more difficult to tell tham apart. Just as well EJ is ringed.

Hello everyone - thanks for pics once again Lindy and DJoan and Auntie . Oh, Djoan sun by 4pm - big deal. At least the winds are light . Although that won't help the youngsters fledge I suppose.
Goof motmimg all just a quick post as I have the rest of yesterday's to catch up on. Very busy since i logged out yesterday. Thought maybe 2 had fledged as I can only see Titch on the nest looking wete but as I read on it appears he/she has hid his/herself. Thanks for all the pics and the night shift for their reports. Surely 2 must fledge soon with all the wing exercising it has been doing. Off to catch up now.

I think its going to be a quiet day today, raining again and one soggy looking youngster appears all alone and asleep.
