Welcome to the new week. Hope all the UK types remembered to put their clocks back. We'll do it in another couple of weeks.
Just seen the Site Warden and he says they clean out the local sewage pipes with blocks of this white stuff she found. Sometimes it gets washed ashore. She has brought up some more, and had some water to drink, so we've got fingers crossed now, or its off t o the Vet
If it is an alkaline like substance it is poisonous as you know, LINDY. Maybe a vet consultation would be the best for all. Hugs from here.
Latest: we spoke to a lady who lives on the seafront, she has dogs - and she said that she had read that this stuff is coming ashore all over Anglesey, opposite to where we are - Its palm oil and had been dumped out in the Irish Sea.
She looks a little better - I've given her some bread as OG suggested, which makes sense to me.
Our Warden, who is a great guy, has gone off to dig up the substance and put it in the tip, before any other dogs find it.
That is a relief, LINDY - I thought that it was drain cleaning stuff.
PS just googled it - make of it what you will but it does say if ingested it is poisonous to dogs. It seems as if Bonnie has got rid of it, though.
Just rung the Vet and off to go see him........
Pleased you have clues to what it is/was and that vet can see you at short notice. Hope my bread advice was in order and hasn't made things worse - based on a child incident (not mine!)
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
LINDY Hope Bonnie is all tickety boo now.
LINDA - thinking of Bonnie - and you!
OG - I think the bread advice was OK since they say you shouldn't induce vomiting for these things. Seems like Bonnie wanted to vomit, though. Hope all is OK and we will hear from LINDY when they get home.
