Welcome to the new week. Hope all the UK types remembered to put their clocks back. We'll do it in another couple of weeks.
Heather: I was surprised to see so much Christmas stuff in the stores when I was back in the UK last month. Early, even by our standards, but then we have Thanksgiving yet...
Lindybird: How did Bonnie pick up a hedgehog without getting pricked?
Wonderfully cooler here today, which started off with thick fog. :-)
Thank you Annette for starting us off.
Another horrible day here, high temps, windy, pollen adrift, headache weather. I am hibernating, or whatever it is called in summer.
AQ: Sincere sympathy for that weather; it sounds horribly familiar and very uncomfortable!
Yesterday I had planned a monster casserole (Evening meal plus spare meals for freezer). I felt so headachy that I postponed til today. Weather is easing, temp dropped 8 C, and I am feeling better although I am not venturing outside until the promised showers come to settle pollen & dust.
Sorry you're suffering, AQ. Hope you've got the showers by now.
Good Morning, and thanks to Annette for starting us off again.
Bonnie played football with the rolled up hedgehog on the lawn, says my OH, before running in with it. It must have been a young one, as she somehow just about managed to get it in her mouth, and it would have been too large had it been an adult. In fact, I thought that we no longer got them in the garden because we had to put mesh all around it, hidden in the hedge, when we realised that Bonnie was such an escape artist. So maybe it was small enough to get through a small gap.
Good morning all!
Thanks to Annette for new week.
Sorry about the dry dust and pollens, AQ.
Good to hear of Lindy's Hedgehog - but guess it might decide to move away if it has too many encounters with Bonnie!
Lovely morning after a very windy night! Porridge ready.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Good morning - thank you ANNETTE!
Unexpected house guests arrived half an hour ago. Eldest daughter plus her OH and Katie. Their gas boiler has died - no water for showers etc. They have a helicopter ride booked this morning so need to get going early. Think they'll stay here until boiler is fixed by Scottish Gas. Probably tomorrow at the earliest as they aren't ill or old....
Here's today's pic, which I forgot as we're busy getting ready for a trip down to see our Youngest's family -- little Matthew was 3 yesterday!
A bundle of trouble!!
How the time flies, LINDY. It doesn't seem three years since he arrived! I, too, was wondering how Bonnie picked up the hedgehog. By the snout?!!
I enjoyed LINDY' s accounts of the Lisbon excursion. Somewhere I would like to go. Also AQ' s latest photos.
Sorry, AQ that your weather is so stuffy just now. Summer hibernation would seem to be a good idea.
ANNETTE- enjoy the rest because knowing you, it won't last for long... you asked what it was I didn't like about the return to GMT. I was just thinking about an extra hour of non sleep the first night!
LINDY Love those kittens. Our first Goldie used to love picking up hedgehogs. On one occasion we were at Gairloch and thought he had a ball in his mouth. It turned out to be a baby hedgehog and we did't know quite when he had picked it up. We back tracked and just guessed where to put it. I do hope Mum found it.
AQ Hope your weather cools and you feel better soon.
