HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MONTH and HAPPY FULL MOON
The full moon is Wednesday. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a great September!
This past week was the 8th anniversary of this thread! Thanks, Annette, for starting it. May we all remain friends and preserve our bond.

Good Morning. Dull, grey and wet here. Not much dry weather is forecast for the next four days.
Hope all goes well for J today, OG. Our Youngest had that done, and although it was all removed, it later grew back again!
Nice scenes on the BBC Breakfast programme this week, as they look back on many years of British seaside holidays. The sun seems to be shining in all the old photos! My memories are of mixed weather, on holidays in Devon & Cornwall in the 50's, and North Wales in the 60's.
Here's today's pic:
"Have you mentioned me, yet?"
Just been to my log store to find my Swallows have all fledged and flying back and forth across the rafters.... I thought there were 3 but it seems one little devil was hiding so 4 it is. Good parents having 2 broods to help a diminishing population.
My enormous old Buddleia has been home to hundreds of Red Admiral and Peacock butterflies over the past 2 weeks now the flowers have gone my Sparrows are enjoying the seeds.
Damp and humid so the midges are lurking :-(
You're doing your bit, then, Wendy. :-)
Not as many butterflies in our garden this year as usual, sadly.
Lindy I try to but being surrounded " over the fence" by wild planting it's easy.
We have acres of Comfry which is a haven for our bees.
Daisy eats the new leaves and OH googled it. It's good for skin conditions. My question is how does she know that as she has always suffered from itchy skin. Which is now under control with daily meds...
Just a couple of replies - busy filing!
This is second time (may be third, now I think about it) for full removal of J's nail! Granddaughter is the same.
Autumn is here today - our winter Robin arrived this morning!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
I saw 'our' robin yesterday, OG!
ANNETTE - They weren't New Age Travellers;-) There are loads of travelling families who move around the country. The jury is out on how many of them are Romany families and how many are not. I'm no expert but if you Google 'Travellers' you will find out more, I don't want to upset any applecarts (or caravans). My sis in law's granny was apparently from a Romany/ gypsy family.
Thanks, LINDY for info about the tomatoes. I'm just about to make a sauce with a load of them.
I would love to have a woodburning stove, WENDY. Folk over the road had one installed last year and love it. They seem to be very popular in other European countries, maybe more so than here? Don't know if I've said this before but my brother cooks casseroles on the top of his. Big cast iron pan, simmers for hours and very tasty results. Danish friends have a modern kind of stainless steel one - no cooking on it!
Nice to see you, LYNETTE. I think that you are like me, can't drive so either Shank's pony or a taxi. Also live on a bus route. I probably did walk a few miles on Wednesday but sore knees were only temporary, thank goodness.
Been rushing around again..... bought a lot of dog food, stocking up as leaving plenty with Sis in law when we go away, in another week.
Wendy, it doesn't surprise me that a dog knows what they should eat to help them get well. They are wiser than we know!
We've had two robins around, it doesn't seem as if they've been anywhere for the last few months, except our garden.
Garden man came this afternoon but the tree removal is too big a job for him. However he is going to contact someone else who will come and see me.
Hope J got on OK today, OG and that you three enjoy your evening out.
Night, all.
HEATHER I have a friend who can cook casseroles on a shelf between the burner and the top. Trouble is she doesn't always time it right and so may have to finish off in the oven.
Good to hear that yours sons business is doing well and growing.
Our robin hasn't been seen for a while but is definitely back in situ now.
