9:07 p.m. Saturday night in CaliforniaThe July Full Moon is traditionally called the Full Buck Moon or the Full Thunder Moon.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Konta doing well ... dinner will be late :-)
What a result .. Virginia Wades face summed it all up :-)
What a great match. Well done Jo Konta.
Not sure what constitutes elderly, OG!
So funny Heather! Good story.....
OG: My 6 GG children come from only 2 Grandchildren. My oldest Granddaughter was married the year after college and has 2 childrem.
My youngest Granddaughter got married the year she graduated college and has 4 children (3 of her own and a stepson from her husbands first marriage) She had the third baby the week after she received her Master's degree (her robe almost didn't fit)
OG: Glad your traumatic day ended well and your deck is finished.
Such excitement with the tennis today!
Wendy - I keep forgetting to say, how lovely your holiday sounded, especially seeing the dolphins! - How memorable.
OG - Today sounds so much better than yesterday! How nice to be able to sit out, it sounds rather like Sunday night here, when we sat out in the garden until beyond 6.30. Today is total contrast though, with heavy showers all day, and the garden has had a good drenching over the last two days.
We heard from the carpet suppliers, and have fixed on next Monday for the fitting. This gives us time for clearing the room and a little remedial painting before then. I cleared the cupboard where we keep all the table mats and napkins, etc, and found some drinks mats I'd forgotten we had!
Heather: Oh boo - but why didn't the couple that picked up the coins at least offer to share them with you given that you'd pointed them out, then you wouldn't have felt so bad when you discovered they were yours anyway. :-(
OG: Electrical saga sounds very discombobulating. Glad it's sorted now, but what a palaver. Hope you enjoyed coffee on the deck. Planters sound like a nice touch.
Lindybird: Ugh, taking up carpet - and maybe padding? - sounds like a chore. Some of the skirting boards in our house have apparently got into fights with the vacuum cleaner at some point and could do with a touch up. Not the sort of thing you can do easily with carpet already installed.
bjane: Do you get to see your grandkids a lot? (Not all at the same time I hope!)
Watched Konta and Halep for a bit and happy Konta won after a rocky start; also Venus Williams - very strong players. Suspect I'll be glued to the tele tomorrow for the men's quarter finals....
Annette - no, I don't get to see them much. We correspond through emails, mail and Facebook. They are in different parts of the U.S.
I still have partial care of my daughter so can't leave home as often as I would like (but it's always been that way). I am the backup aide for her now which is an improvement over the last three years where I was her only caregiver.
