The best recap of the busy yesterday is in scylla's most excellent catchup post later in the day. She also expertly decoded the extremely blurred cam view in the morning hours. Clearly if anyone needs help with reconnaissance, scylla is the one. :-D
(MU by Moffer --- there were better ones of hers that I unsuccessfully tried to reload) It seems the male of the hour may be Mr. Unringed (MU as Moffer has coined him), not to be confused with PU, who had earlier been a contender, best known for bringing fish to the nest, dropping it in fright of EJ, and leaving it hanging on the edge of the nest for EJ to find later. We wish MU the best and advise that he bring her a fresh fish breakfast post haste.
(by scylla)The report would be incomplete without the portrait of the opportunistic yet handsome crow that has been keeping EJ company.
EJ for the most part with her fish, content on her not-fish perch, lovely flyoffs captured of course by our Moffer.
Every day we see EJ being more her perky and regal self, a development that is the only balm to our collective loss of her long-time partner Odin. We are rooting for you dear EJ, whether you know it or not. :-*

I cannot fault your date, CC ;) and what a terrific start to another new day, thank you! :-*
Moffer phoned the VC in very good time yesterday, so we're on the nest, ready for the morning shenanigans - fingers crossed that that's where our birds will choose to conduct them, rather than in the Lookout, Love, Cam or Other Tree ;-D
However, I am waiting for a grocery delivery so cannot have a nap, I will probably not be around from 4 o'clock onwards. Other people don't understand priorities!

I had forgotten that the grocery delivery was mostly cleaning materials - only the frozen strawberry yoghurt to smile at :)
Aww, shucks, I completely forgot the Redstart yesterday evening - it pottered around the nest insignificantly but caused a "spectacular" flash when it zipped off the back:
First little birdie heard - that one who repeats a high-pitched, one-toned almost, whistle, over and over. But it only did 3 just now.

It looks dry and still.
The strip of mist has been coming and going:
Almost clear:
EJ just landed with a pipe.
And she's flown !!!
