NEW CHAT THREADThis is the new thread for the week. I am watching the news of the terror attacks in London. I don't think it's appropriate to post my usual wishes for a happy new week along with a cheerful photo. I will simply say that my thoughts are with all of my dear friends in the U.K. I hope you all stay safe.
OG - This was just for Knee#2. Knee#1 is 5 years old! Hence my pleasure at news that they now last 20 years. As my Dad would have said "It should see me out".
Thanks, will look into it.
Yes well, if I'm going to blather on about Rossini meets Trump, I could at least post the link, right? m.youtube.com/watch;feature=youtu.be
AQ: Hope you outlast your knees!
Off out; back later.
Didn't like to say that Rossini didn't seem to be evident, Annette!
Annette, that is brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing - it is now rushing around my family and friends.
After days waiting for news, it has been confirmed that one of the 2 Aussie girls missing since the London attack, was killed. She was a nurse from Loxton SA. The other family in QLD still have no word from or of their daughter. They must be frantic with worry.
Good Morning, All.
AQ - We saw the story of the lovely Aussie nurse. I'm afraid that the other will be gone, also: there were cases like this after the Manchester atrocity and it only means that they're dawdling over getting definite ID. It's a scandal that they keep families hanging on in hope.
Dry here for today, with more rain predicted for tomorrow. We had a lot of wind and rain yesterday. My Friend came around and described their hols: they were unlucky enough to be caught up in a Mediterranean storm for two days which made for some soggy outings, but they enjoyed themselves nonetheless. We're going out for lunch together tomorrow to talk some more!
Here's today's pic:
Finally found the time to watch Annettes hilarious Rossini clip - just wonderful! - How clever!
(Also watched the clip on the same page, with John Cleese making everyone laugh on a chat show, about Trump.)
Dry, breezy and sunny, but still too wet underfoot for gardening. Hairdresser is coming for us both this morning, so OH is currently busy tidying etc. Both emptied our "to file" trays yesterday - unfortunately found a few things for the "to do" trays among stuff which was floating trayless!
LINDA - enjoy lunch and further catch-up with friend.
ALL - have a good day!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
