The season so far:
Glesni (Blue 12) and Monty arrived back within hours of each other on 1st April. Glesni laid three eggs on the 14th, 17th, and 20th April and have now hatched - #1 on the 21st, #2 on the 22nd and #3 on the 26th May. Full details of the hatches can be found here
Glesni and Monty have much to celebrate this month for as well as being the parents of three healthy, strong chicks they are also to become grandparents when their daughter Clarach's eggs laid on the 4th, 7th, and 10th May at the Aberfoyle Nest hatch!

The sound seems to be coordinated with the Heron's throat moving. What was that hanging from Glesni's beak? Hope that does not become a problem. And where are the people who were talking?
Kind regards, Ann
Chicks resting. No sign of Glesni or Monty.
Birdies LG DU update.
Looks like a nice sunny morning, ideal ringing weather (maybe today will be the day)

Facebook post re an encounter with a Heron last night. Video to follow.
Thanks, Limpy, for the captures and thanks, Mike for the link. Our sound is rarely working, but I saw and heard the entire thing last night with the Heron. Before DOP moved the camera to spot the Heron we had no definite idea of what it was. I never knew Herons could make such harrowing noises! Could be used in a horror film.
According to Chat 'someone', probably Ems/Janine, must have gone back to the centre to find out what was going on and get a recording.
