Evening folks,
It was an action packed day yesterday with the eldest enjoying his new found freedom, unwanted visitors and EJ protecting the youngsters. The two left on the nest were practicing their wing flapping, hopefully one will fledge tomorrow if not both. Didn't see a lot of the action but recorded some.
All peaceful at present. Happy viewing to all in the early hours and see you in the morning, night, night.

A couple of alarm calls from EJ and another osprey chirruping in the background .... possibly Odin?

I'm back again and can see EJ on her favourite lookout post---
EJ calling ... not sure if its a half-hearted alarm call or if she's spotted Odin lurking within view!
Good afternoon all had an unexpected visitor so had to log out as it was all a bit noisy at that time. Have more fish been delivered or is it fish that was left over. thanks for all the pics and it certainly is a rough day at LG with the wind and rain. Lovely pic of the two snuggled together at peace with one another.
DjoanS had a laugh about your OH's comment. My OH is interested but not too the extent I am and has made the same remark to me. Of course there is nothing more important thah our ospreys, we must get our priorities right here. i didn't log in again yesterday as I though I would give him the benefit of my company during the evening. Really had to smile when he asked "well are you not going to check up on your ospreys". i said no and he said why you will ony be worried stiff about them. I can't win can I. He doesn't mind really but clearly thinks I am really obsessed which of course I am and proud of it.
Margobird
Good afternoon BrendaH hope your small shop does not take long. Love the pic of the eldest being a right little piggy but it sounds as though they all got some in the end.
Hello margobird - my OH is very good really ... just teases me! He is as interested as me ... last year when we were up near Jedburgh, on a day out, we called at Glenn Tress osprey centre to look at their big screen. He was the one who sat for ages watching .... even when nothing was happening!
Nothing much happening nest-wise just now .... a call from EJ every now and then. She seems to be on guard in case that pesky intruder returns.
Know just what you mean, margobird - my OH just smiles indulgently when I jump up from the TV & say I'm just off to check on something - he knows I'll be at least a half an hour, reading & typing....
Have just been back & catching up on all the posts and pics, Thanks, Everyone! (great pictures, All)
I think it is EJ eating and has been feeding one too, the other one is a lazy little so and so begged for a bite but remained lying down. Think it must have been some fish that was left over, I have lost count of deliveries now.
Lindybird I think we all have very understanding OH's.
GEM's in the bottom of the nest, and EJ on her right hand perch - she is giving us the most wonderful views of her chest and huge hooked beak, with that noble head - but the stills cam won't catch her between moves.... aaaaaargh!
