Evening folks,
It was an action packed day yesterday with the eldest enjoying his new found freedom, unwanted visitors and EJ protecting the youngsters. The two left on the nest were practicing their wing flapping, hopefully one will fledge tomorrow if not both. Didn't see a lot of the action but recorded some.
All peaceful at present. Happy viewing to all in the early hours and see you in the morning, night, night.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
I'm about to sign off. We started off with three chicks; one flew away; two still on nest. No fish, No Odin, No EJ yet.
Hi Annette,
#3 ( formerly Titch) is standing right in front of the camera and looking into the lens . He is so-o-o-o- beautiful !!
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Of course, just as I'm about to sign off, they both get up. Clearly (well, not really) but one assumes they must be wondering when breakfast will arrive. Ooh, something flew overhead (didn't see it) and they both ducked. Something's overhead - #1 chick? One has settled down, the other has started a major flapping event! Also, one of them seems to do a lot of scratching around the ears - have noticed that for a week or two. I know as soon as I leave, one will either fledge or someone will show up with fish! Do hurry!
#2 is practicing Jump-flying across the nest . Not much lift yet
#3 still doesn't have his wings fully extended horizontally
Barbara Jean! Hurray. Do you know what bird with the piercing call is?
Bird just flew across the background and got their attention.
Well, the lack of action on the nest has been remarkable (and I've remarked on it quite a bit!). All this could go one for another half and hour - but I can't.
So who's calling? These guys are both preening and doing yoga - it must be #1 demanding breakfast off camera.
Off I go - take care al and Happy Viewing today!

I have no idea. Perhaps someone with more knowledge of bird calls can answer you

Just two chicks on nest, then there were all five birds plus fish brought in by Odin
