As CLARACH 2R(13) from the DYFI Osprey Project has settled on the FCS Aberfoyle's main nest for the last week or so, it is probably best that there be a dedicated thread for Aberfoyle.
ABERFOYLE WEBCAM LINK - It operates between the hours of 09.30 am to 5.30 pm.
THE LODGE AT FOREST VISITOR CENTRE - Facebook Page where you will find current information and also historic info on the project.
Some history of Clarach's return to Wales - CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO TAKE YOU TO the excellent blog about her return.
Lets hope Clarach settles here, lays eggs and generally has a successful season.

Fish !! The male arrives with a lovely big fish for Clarch
which she takes from him
Clarach flies off with her fish and the male settles down to incubate

Hi Birdsong - good to see and it was a nice sized fish too :-)
Hopefully Clarach will stay off the nest, have herself a good feed and a break.
Off out for a bit SYL
Clarach returns with the fish Doesn'tlook as if she has eaten much The male takes it and flies offm Clarach settles to incubate
The male is back and they both trying to place a thin stick
I didn't see if he brought back the fish but he has now flown
Male defending just now ...
Male was incubating .. I didn't see change over but the male rose and started mantling and screeching
I could see a shadow above and the male looks up ... perhaps Clarach on campost?
And then by the reaction of the male, I think this could well be Clarach giving chase ???

The male is still incubating but give him his due, he never left the eggs but remained steadfast guarding them ... well done him :-)
The male continues to incubate, panting in the sunshine. How lovely it is to see them sharing incubating and Clarach getting a break as I am sure we can see her shadow! To the bottom left of the nest there is a shadow of what I think is Clarach sitting on the campost!
Yes it was ... as she jumps down onto the nest (so now we know where to look :-)) )
The male flies off and Clarach takes over incubating
KAREN Thank you for giving me the link for the better view of the nest I now have it
You're welcome PATILY however credit goes to Chloe for posting it on the techie thread :-)
@ 15:09 the male was on the nest incubating and no sign of Clarach. I missed his arrival so don't know if he had a fish. Hopefully she has a fish but at least she is getting a break.
@ 15:25 male still incubating. He really has the hang of it and doing a grand job :-)
@ 15:30 Clarach returns, he is still sitting
Clarach standing by him ... is he going to get up LOL
@ 15:33 He rises and swap over.
The male has flown and Clarach settles down. She has had a good break there and hopefully something to eat too :-)
