The season so far:
Glesni (Blue 12) and Monty arrived back within hours of each other on 1st April. Glesni laid three eggs on the 14th, 17th, and 20th April. Currently both adults are taking turns to incubate the eggs which are expected to hatch towards the end of May.

What is/where is "Trail Cam"? Thanks MIKE Great picture but sad that she still hasn't a mate/nest
Patily, You probably remember that last year there was another nest platform on the Dyfi Estuary not far from Monty's and Glesni's main nest and that Blue 24 had several eggs there but they were predated because Blue 24 had to go fishing for herself. Monty only brought her one fish after she began sitting on the eggs if I remember rightly and after that he shared all his fishing efforts with Glesni and their chicks. Well, the Dyfi Osprey people received permission in February to remove that other nest, did so in March, and then put up the perch with a trail cam on it at or near the site of that now-removed nest platform. Blue 24 often eats her fish there, apparently.
Kind regards, Ann
