HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MONTH!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!Welcome back, Odin!!!
Good Morning
A fairly bright day here, today. Apart from having a shower etc, I seem to have been on the phone a lot! Gas man is coming tomorrow, will do the yearly service and check. No comment made when I complained that the expected visit did not happen, on Saturday :-(
I think that my youngest daughter and the granddaughters will come here on Wednesday, for a few days. I'm really looking forward to that! A bit of house cleaning required before then. And food shopping!
Now to have another look at the garage. I said last night that I almost preferred it untidy, as it used to be. That was down to sentiment, as I hate clutter!
DIANE - always like to read about the RTHs.
LINDY - hope that the knees are improving.
ANNETTE - Your young neighbours will appreciate your advice regarding their garden planting.
Hopefully back here later - hope all are OK
Been busy - another lovely day here: so many flowering plants are out at the same time in the garden that it's wonderful to see.
Heather - One knee alright now, the other on the mend, thank you. Hope the gas man cometh as promised.
Off to bed.....
Evening all: Been busy here. Today went to whale count but I think the whales must've decided to have some fun with us. They were blowing in the distance as they approached, but then disappeared. Very frustrating.
Lindybird: Cute kitties. I have nothing but sturdy sandals. "Glam" is not in my vocabulary. :-))
Heather: Do hope gasman shows up. Nice that daughter and kiddies will be around. By the way, how is Amy these days?
Gray and very cool here today; plan to do more garden work tomorrow.
Have a good Tuesday everyone.
Good Morning, All. It's a bit damper here as it rained in the night, but just rather grey now.
Annette - Can't believe you're whale watching again already - the year is rushing by. Hope you see some on your next stint! Maybe that's why I have so many shoes, as I'm such a chameleon! One minute, sturdy walking boots, next, smart "town" shoes, then when I get the chance, a bit of "glam!" ;-)
Shocking news about both the Columbian disaster and the Russian bomb: even the Russians have their own terrorist problems.
I've lots of h.work to do today, to catch up. Have a good day, everyone.
By the way, my Youngest sent me a hilarious Mothers Day card: It shows a huge chicken with bright hair, "Edna Everage" glasses and holding a cocktail glass, and it says "Mum, you're one crazy bird!" LOL!!
Here's today's pic:
"It's Spring!!"
Pouring with rain at the moment, which means this morning's golf is cancelled. Not too sorry - still feeling the after-effects of a wonderful round on a very hilly course nearby. The weather was fantastic, the golf wasn't bad (for a change!) and this morning could have been a bit of an anti-climax. Oh dear, that means I'll probably have to do some house-work ...
Housework very boring but necessary (sometimes)I ventured in to the dining room this morning and made friends with a few dust bunnies.
The gas man did arrive and all is working fine now. I got the usual talk about the boiler being quite old etc etc and parts becoming difficult to obtain.
They always say that, Heather.......
Some of my favourite flowers are out.... Here are a couple of pics:
Fritillaries. The flowers are really big this year.
Close up.
