Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
OOOPS!
The two G's don't help!!

Neither does it being very early in the morning, trying to check all the sites before I've had a cup of tea and MC having a lay in! LoL
Nice to see everywhere calm and settled though.
Glesni incubating Monty on the lower perch

Monty incubating. He is reported to have taken over at 0527.
Monty off at 0611. Glesni incubating. Very swift hand over after a gentle nudge!
M off again @ 9:39 (after his half hours stint)... and since on the low perch. Picture of beautifull fierce Glesni for sentimental reasons. And to show the bit of "paper" that has appeared on the nest since?...(saturday says chat?). It would bother me personally due to its flapping in the wind habit, but then i am no osprey.
and from 11:10h with both together on the nest:
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
