  • It's a pain in the backside.  The laptop really does very well considering its age but it's so slow.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Sorted through the rest of today's photos.  I'll post them tomorrow as I'm knackered!

  • Diane - thank you for starting us off and for the beautiful picture.

Clare - just love to see your pics.

Hello everybody and a happy Mothers' Day to all.

What a glorious day its been. Son couldn't make it as he is down in Bristol with his wife at her dau's for the weekend but Dau. cooked dinner for us today and did us proud.

The Andre Rieu concert was fantastic. Nothing much happening just normal routine now.

Hope OG is making good progress.  That is nice that they are going to maintain the garden for her for the time being. Let's hope it all works out.

  • I meant to say last night that I miss OG, and I hope she's progressing well. I know she must be really frustrated being stuck in hospital. Heather, please tell her she's in my thoughts if you speak with her. Thank you!

  • Clare, those swan pictures were amazing.  Thanks for starting my day with a lump in my throat!  I understand from my sister that the Wells Cathedral swancam is up and running again.  I really enjoy watching them.

  • Someone's running a swan cam?  Must check that out.

Here are the rest of my photos - click on this beautiful grey wagtail to see the rest:

  • Good Morning.  Sun coming through the windows again......it's really surprising to have such weather, so early in the year.

Lynette - Glad you enjoyed the concert. I really must try to get to one of Andres concerts next time he's around this area.

Heather - Thanks for news of OG, although it may be some time before there is more progress to report. Such a shame that they'll have to just cut down to maintenance, when they both get such pleasure out of the garden.

We came home with a bargain plant, a cordyline with smart, red leaves which I hope will look modern (once I've found somewhere to plant it!).

Off to look at Clares pics now.......

Meanwhile, here's my pic for today:

  • Hello all

Another lovely day here so want to do some garden work.

OG phoned last evening, she sends her love to everybody here. EE has bought her a small radio and headphones so she listening to Radio 4. Also, she is now reading books instead of magazines. The food in hospital varies in quality and quantity. Yesterday's lunch was one slice of lamb, three brussel sprouts, three baby potatoes and cold gravy :-(

  • Oh, heck, Heather - we may have to send in food parcels........  it makes me hopping mad, because enjoying your food is one part of the road to recovery for patients.

Good idea to have a personal radio.

Lovely pics once again from Clare - do check them out, folks, the swans are beautiful!

Everything in our garden is growing like crazy, it thinks it's May or June!!

  • Yes, LINDY, CLARE's swans are indeed beautiful! And the kingfisher - I have never seen one.
