  • Apparently I should live in Stratford Upon Avon (69%) although the place I live is rated 66%, so I don't think I'll bother to move!  I have visited Stratford, but certainly wouldn't want to live there ... far too many tourists!

  • I'd hate to live anywhere I was stuck with a Tesco - locally we have Morrisons, Lidl, Iceland and the Co-op and the overwhelming majority of my shopping is done in Felixstowe.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Oh, I seem to be joining the rest of you in Harborough - I think I'll stay with my forest!

  • Apparently I should live in Craven, in the Yorkshire Dales.  (48%)  but where I live now is 37%.

I think it was a bit thrown by my complex personality! - I can be shy, but am mostly outgoing . I like meeting people, but am very happy with just my own company.

Ideally, I'd live where I do already (NW England, in Cheshire)  but more out in the countryside, so maybe Yorkshire in the country is not too far wrong.

  • ForestBoar and all: Harborough is obviously the happening place.  Although the BBC website (not sure if it was the same part of the site) claims Bristol is the place to be!

  • Hi all, thanks for your news so far.

deleted original comments as not realised it is prone to tracing and don't want to get anyone into trouble..

Must take that test, wonder where it will put me!!!!!

  • Lynette: Gosh, not sure how I'd feel about commuting to North Korea in the Lord's name; they seem to take offense to that. Does he feel threatened in any way when he's there?  And does he have to go "undercover" so to speak?

Diane: Sorry, Tesco won't cut it and I've seen Harry's on that Lerwick webcam - not sure that would replace my Target habit.  Of course,  I could putter round in the area by the camera and wave at you all. :-)

  • I'm just off to bed, after doing lots of reading of printed matter, plus lots of writing of emails etc .

Just had a look at my pics and thought you might like to see one of our neighbours on holiday, who came to see us everyday ---

Here he is, buttering up my OH, who has a glass of um, medicinal drink in his hand, so it must be evening:

The balcony wall he is trotting along is about 22 ft. off the ground!  Here is how he got there:

  • One of the apartment owners was in residence, and said that a woman visitor had taken a shine to this cat, plus one of the others who was around, and that when she returns once again next June, she will be taking them both back to Germany with her.  Apparently she said that being all white, he would suffer from cancers from too much sun in the climate if he remained.

A few days after I took these pictures, he tried to get into our apartment and my OH shooed him out onto the balcony, where he jumped up onto the wall and missed his footing, plunging down to the ground below.  I hardly dared look, but apart from being slightly stunned, he seemed fine even though there was nothing to break his fall.  We'd been given strict instructions not to let any of the cats into our apartment, as they may do damage or get locked in.

Here he is again, in the garden, looking exotic:
