HAPPY NEW WEEK!

Hi, everyone. I chose this photo for the week because the Sandhill Cranes are migrating through my state on their way north to their spring nesting grounds. I like them a lot!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  • MIKE - I'm just about to text LINDY x

  • Have heard back from LINDY- she is very touched to know that her poem will be read at MARGO's funeral.

  • Thank you Heather. I'll let Chris know.

  • Thank  you so much, Mike, for the updates on dear Margo's funeral.  My thoughts and best wishes are with Chris and Margo's family and friends.  How wonderful to know that Lindy's brilliant poem will be read.  It is touching that her virtual friends as well as her tangible friends will be with her to wish her well.

A lovely thought Mary, thank you.

I imagine that today will also be difficult for DjoanS and and Heather, hugs to you both too.

  • Mike - that is a lovely tribute to Margo by Lindybird and a great priveledge to have it read out at Margo's funeral. It celebrates part of her life that we came to love. Thank you to Lindybird for that poem.

Diane - glad to read that you are OK and that the tornadoes and flood alert have passed you by. Keep safe.

Annette - safe journey to AZ and have a good trip.

  • Hi guys:  Safe in AZ; all well here.

Heather: Good that OG is able to communicate with you via  phone; too bad about the wifi. Do you get a sense that things are easier for her at Annan Hospital? Do hope she isn't in there for too long. Is your bro heading back to France tomorrow?

    Djoan: How are you doing?

Diane: We have good weather on the West coast for now (and here too), so it's probably safe to assume things will be calm in your neighborhood for a few days.

    Best thoughts to all.

  • Not a nice afternoon. Cold and wet with a sort of hail/sleet falling. Doubt Benson will go out.  At least  he had a good day yesterday when a friend and her daughter with Breagha her 8 month old Husky/collie came round. We all enjoyed a walk together then had coffee here while our 4 legged friends had fun and games.

My Mum has been transferred to a geriatric hospital in Linlithgow. This will give my bro time to find a suitable care home. OH and I will be going down on Wed to see Mum and bro. Bro is now sorting through Mums clothes with a view to giving what he can to a charity shop, and chucking much. She obviously still needs stuff for herself but I am sure lots can go. Mum was always a hoarder and hated throwing anything out, even electrical goods that no longer worked!!!!

  • Yes, a funny old day here, DIBNLIB. I'm so glad that your brother has got time to find a care home, rather than have to make a very quick decision. Regarding the clothes - when my old neighbour Sheana moved into her care home there were cases and cases of clothes to send to charity. The salvation Army were very good in that respect, they came to the house and took everything that they thought would sell in their charity shop, household stuff, bedding, everything.

My brother left this morning. despite my entreaties he insisted on driving from here to Devon in one go. I've been worrying about him all day...

ANNETTE - enjoy your time in AZ!

Sorry for lack of replies, brain not firing properly. I will catch up soon.

  • HEATHER   Hope your brother has a good journey to Devon. I know you will be on tenterhooks waiting for a call to say he has arrived
