Happy New Week!
I'm sending love and strength to OG (Original Goldfinch) and to Eagle-Eye. Hoping for her rapid recovery.
I hope everyone has a great week!

I'm so pleased to see encouraging news about OG, thank you EE & Heather for the update.

We went for a good walk around a small lake. Bonnie was excited and pleased to meet at least 3 other spaniels en route, plus a variety of other dogs of all sizes. The lake had the usual varieties of ducks, coots and swans. Afterward we went to a garden centre for a coffee, and I bought some poppies - yay! - My favourite flowers.....
Thanks for news of OG. Let's hope she gets the hospital staff organized before the transfer. And maybe someone should alert Golden Jubilee to up their game before she arrives! :-)
Oh my goodness, OG has really been thru the mill, and it sounds as though it isn't over either (EE said she required a "complex left knee renewal"). Thank you EE and Heather for your positive news. I send my love and best wishes to OG and EE for a speedy recovery.

Thanks EE and Heather for your much better news on OG's condition. Wishing her, EE and J all the best and sending special thoughts to them.
Hoping Margo is doing better and special thoughts with her too.
Hi to everyone else and loving your pics Lindy and Clare.
Kind regards
Jenny
Nice to see you, Jenny!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Great news from EE & Heather. Surely a grumpy OG is a good sign.
{{{HUGS}}} for Margo
Newspaper headlines this morn tell of 40,000 homes & businesses that had power cut last eve at 6.30pm because they thought (!) there wouldn’t be enough power. After ¾ hour a higher authority ordered them to switch back on. This when temp was hovering around 42 C. What a useless state we live in. Too much reliance on renewable energy, eg wind farms, and no backup. Overnight was unpleasant with min temp 25. My poor tomatoes are baking on the bush, expecting 42 & humid today.
Good grief, AQ, we think it's warm if it's 25 deg. in the day!
Glad the power was restored so that you could sleep.
It's been about 6 deg. here today, after a zero degree night! (And our heating seems to be holding up, thank goodness!)
Nice to have a post from you, Jenny :-) -- glad you're enjoying the photos.
Checking in for last time until tomorrow. Youngest family here for a sleepover. Granddaughters gone to sleep thinking about the bacon eggs etc I have promised them for breakfast :-)
Me too, been thinking about Brenda's family.
Lindy - hyacinths look amazing and yes the scent can be heavenly too.
Grey dull day down here and they say there is an icy blast on its way. Stay warm all.
