Hi folks, its been a day of contrasts. Eldest has enjoyed his freedom by flying backwards and forward to the camera post and then landing on the nest. The other two have been doing exercising but as yet have not taken their maiden flights.
Only 2 fish late afternoon and then one very small one in the evening. They are keeping them lean and kean so to speak.
Two are asleep on the nest and the eldest is on the cam post, I think.
Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

Am I right that it is youngest who hasn't got a fish? I can't tell!

So we're ahead fishes so far today, right? What a racket - was in the other room and thought it was outside before I caught on! Looks like two chicks are eating; third is trying to snag a bite at the rear there and EJ has decided it's time to move furniture. Maybe she needs to bop them on the head and tell them to behave nicely!
the one at the back (which i thought might be #3) has just taken the fish from #2 with no bother - the other juv stuck thier wings out in protest, but it was not thier fish that the one at the back was after!
Did Eldest surrender half-eaten fish to chich without fish and then change its mind and go back for it a few minutes later? Think thats what happened. Anyone else?
Emma that's what I thought too!
i didnt see it take it back Emma as i was typing!! i wish they would wait for me to finish before they do something else - i cant type that quickly!! :-)
LOL Annette. EJ definitely needs to work on their table manners.
Sorry had to leave the room just then so can't confirm events. Its all very quiet now and two birds are eating- looks like # 2 is the one without, to me, as # 3 has the short tail still, on the right at the moment.
Don't worry ghengis. Its often difficult to keep up with whats happening on the nest. Things can change as soon as you look away. Thats half the fun though! Now there's another racket going on. What a noisy bunch today.
This squabbling over the food reminds of how hard it was to watch last year when they were at each other from the very beginning. So glad we haven't had much of it this year.
