Hi folks, its been a day of contrasts. Eldest has enjoyed his freedom by flying backwards and forward to the camera post and then landing on the nest. The other two have been doing exercising but as yet have not taken their maiden flights.
Only 2 fish late afternoon and then one very small one in the evening. They are keeping them lean and kean so to speak.
Two are asleep on the nest and the eldest is on the cam post, I think.
Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

Thanks for all the pics and updates!! I am happy to read there has been another fish since this morning.
I felt so sorry for #1 yesterday . There had been no food all day , and when a fish was finally delivered it bust into a rage. That poor chick must have been desperately hungry to attack everyone as it did. In the past few days there were times when #1 didn't eat because there was always more fish in a few hours and it could eat then. The other two were clearly hungry but not like #1. Even when it was trying to tear the fish to eat it was frantic .
I understand this is a time when EJ and Odin cut back on the fish deliveries, but I hope they bring enough so that scene isn't repeated. Since there had been no nest fighting so far this year I am sure chicks #'s 2 & 3 and EJ and Odin were stunned by it's behavior
All looks calm and normal on the nest today
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
I keep hoping for three fish at a time Barbara Jean- chick one can eat its own and EJ can feed the other two and herself. Do you think EJ and Odin fish for themselves since we don't see them so oftem now?
have to go and do other things, back later to catch up. here they are
Here is today's Teatime Fish List:
1st fish brought in by EJ at 6.54am, then Odin two more at 11.46 am and 13.00 approx. - there is mention
of a possibility of another fish just after this, but it seems unlikely & was not witnessed, so that makes
Today's total so far - 3 Fish
Back home now. I knew I was on the right page, when I read the hilarious chatter. I epected to miss the next fledging though.
All three just as Lynette's picture.
I think they've been like that for at least the last half hour Brenda, when I came back on. Aaah, wing stretch over next door neighbour looks like a cuddle.
They seem to be watching something now.
Terry in Cumbria
Probably hoping to be the 1st to spot Mum or Dad with a fish tea!
At Last. For two days I have had no computer and the last thing I knew was that one of the chicks had fledged . I was going mad. I told the man to pleeese fix it soon that ospreys were fledfing and I got a right look I can tell you!! LOL Just got it back and everything looks hunky dorey!! So a big big thank you for all your pics and comments . What an observant lot you are. Thank you so much!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Oh, tish - what a time to get a problem with the pc! Glad you're sorted now.
