Hi folks, its been a day of contrasts. Eldest has enjoyed his freedom by flying backwards and forward to the camera post and then landing on the nest. The other two have been doing exercising but as yet have not taken their maiden flights.
Only 2 fish late afternoon and then one very small one in the evening. They are keeping them lean and kean so to speak.
Two are asleep on the nest and the eldest is on the cam post, I think.
Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the posts and pics. Great to see there's been fish delivered since I last posted. Would've posted much earlier this afternoon but got sidetracked so just had one eye on the webcam and the other on other stuff. Seems like #1 is enjoying not only the newly found powers of flight but the camera post too. Hope that doesn't prove to be a point of argument when the other GEMs fledge: " 'Get aff ma post!' 'Naw, it's ma post. Away an get yer ain!' 'Maw! He's just dragged eh's big talons all o'er ma post."
Anyway, #1 has just returned to the land of the moss and the sticks. Perhaps with great tales of the adventures, or maybe just with a small piece of information: "I can see the pub from up there!"

Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Like the transcriptions of all the chattering going on, Heron.
Heron: More like "I can see Tesco's from here!" Three on nest and all looking at something - hysterical how their heads swivel in unison - like watching a tennis match, sort of.
That's lovely Heron!
There was very loud grumblings on the nest just now ... heard it from outside .... thought somebody was being murdered on the nest .... but no .... just hungry grumblings I think :-)

I love that, too, Annette - the head swivelling! Perhaps they are training for the Osprey Olympics - synchronised head-swivelling event :-)
I'm laughing so much I can't speak, only type!!!!
All laid down in a row, now, like in the old days....
I almost need a translator when Heron goes into his "north of the border" dialect. :-) Moving things around in closets to clear floor space for carpet cleaners but have volume up as loud as OH can stand! Plumber due any minute to fix OH's toilet which won't stuff flushing. Meanwhile, back at the nest.....
LOL Heron...

I was wondrin if Heron's talk was gaelic for a moment !! :) I think it was the 'Maw' that gave it away .... I'm still chucking
