Hi folks, its been a day of contrasts. Eldest has enjoyed his freedom by flying backwards and forward to the camera post and then landing on the nest. The other two have been doing exercising but as yet have not taken their maiden flights.
Only 2 fish late afternoon and then one very small one in the evening. They are keeping them lean and kean so to speak.
Two are asleep on the nest and the eldest is on the cam post, I think.
Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

Hi everyone - Barbara Jean/AQ/Auntie - and thanks again Lynette.
Barbara Jean: Thanks for the info about the food-fight video; I'll check it out. Sounds ugly.
Lovely morning at LG; one chick at left, the other laying down.
Can't access LOTL cams this morning (just in case anyone is wondering)...
Titch is getting louder. I guess he didn't get much yesterday.
Annette - Message on LOTL blog "Thuderstorms abound! We’ll get the system up and running again ASAP! "
I wonder who was that flying in the background.
AQ: Yes, saw that note about the thunderstorms. Thanks! But OMG, just watched those two videos from Alison and what an incredible piggy that chick was - ungrateful wretch! :-) The old "What's mine is mine and what's yours is mine too!" syndrome. Did we ever figure out who was who in that particular brouhaha?
Hmm. You think that fly by was #1 showing off?
Well, I'm going to sign off again soon. I can't seem to stay up much past 10 these days. Two chicks on the nest and preening. Radio Chaffinch twittering in the background. Wonder which'll be the next to fledge.....
Annette did you also watch the video posted by Theresa of the 2 chicks defending the nest against an intruder? It is a bit up on the list of post on the main blog
Only one chick was laying down the other two were screeching, mantling and ready for a fight. They are very developed .They were acting like adult Ospreys
The center made a good call when they decided not to ring and tag them last Saturday . Imagine if those two had been the welcoming committee for the ringers !!

I just watched the videos of the "greedy pig". No table manners, attacking mother, and answering back! Tut Tut. But it does mean he has better chance of survival. Both on the nest screeching for food now. Oops, I turned the volume up for the video.
