Sorry about Lightning, Annette. Glad you have a nice vet.
Pat, Devon does not seem to be the best place weather wise right now, but hope you are making best use of the indoor facilities at the hotel.
Hello to everyone else not mentioned.
ANNETTE Very sad about Lightning.I know you will keep her comfy while you can.
Hi all: Has anyone seen this BBC website photo of a white rainbow in Scotland over Rannoch moor? Amazing. www.bbc.com/.../uk-scotland-highlands-islands-38063662
OG: Fluffy pink teddy sounds like the perfect gift.
I saw the white rainbow picture, Annette! What a beauty! Never seen anything like it, and as a plus, the photographer has captured it perfectly.
OG - I would be impatient to visit the newest member of the family: I'm sure she'll love her teddy. Hope the ironing pile was a small one!
Rosy - Thanks for your description of the lit up decorations at Longleat. I remember seeing a programme on TV about what happened the first time they did it, it was fascinating.
ROSY - I had never heard of Longleat doing Christmas - interesting. I wonder what the Lions think of Peter Rabbit et al!
I also saw the fogbow picture - really was fascinating, and such a good photo!
One disappointment for weekend: Grandson's Fiancée can't join us to eat Saturday night; but he will, so I can give him the mandolin which is to start it's journey to his Mother! We carry the weirdest things up and down Scotland, and often by relay! Very useful now we are strung out from Solway Coast, via Dunfermline and Laurencekirk to Inverness!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Beautiful picture of the fogbow. what a wonderful thing to see. We had a lovely drive to Dingwall today and there was a rainbow with a backdrop of the snow topped mountains. I was at the dentist and they will confirm tomorrow if the implants can go ahead. Today they took some hi tech 3D x rays and after looking at them the consultant thinks there is a very good chance of success, but he wants to tweak the x rays to be completely sure. We had been recommended a Thai restaurant in Dingwall, so had lunch there and it was very good indeed. If the implants go ahead I will need 4 or 5 apps so we will take the opportunity to eat there again.
Sorry you will not meet your Grandsons fiancee, but I am sure you will have a lovely time anyway.
DIBNLIB - we have met her before, but it would have been good to see her again, especially so close to the festive season. Wishing you success with the dental plans!
Thanks OG
Good Morning. No rain today, hooray! A serene view out of my window, for a change. Must get going as have an early hairdressers appointment today.
I hope that Margo is recovering from her tiring few days recently.
