Hope it's a good/better week for everyone.

Thanks for clarifying Linda, I thought they still listed Playa Blanca as a tender port.
Yes I must say we really liked it, the promenade has probably been extended since we were there, but the feel of the place was lovely, nice shops etc, if we were ever going back we would definitely pick to go there.
We had been to Los Pocillos outside Puerto Del Carmen, way back in the 1990's, no doubt it will have all blended into each other now. It was fine but like you say Playa Blanca is so much nicer.
Glad that your friends enjoyed it too, especially after you giving it a good review ha ha.....

The small cruise ship that is docked, the Hebridean Sky is actually more expensive than Arcadia. It costs on average from £5500 to £6500 PP a week on it. The very best suite on Arcadia wouldn't cost that for a week.
I thought at first it was a sister ship of the Hebridean Princess, the ship that the Queen has chartered, but it is not, its owned by a different company. The Queen chartered the HP (as its fondly known) in 2006 and 2010, in 2006 it was reported that she paid £125,000 for 8 nights. We were up on the North West Coast at the time and seen it anchored off shore. One of her favourite places to visit was a beach on Isle Ristol on the summer isles, Near Altandhu. (So it has been rumoured)....
Now I will leave you all in peace, and not drone on about ships LOL.....
Quick look in to post link to fab shot of osprey vs. blue heron, posted yesterday on our local news site! www.edhat.com/.../tidbit.cfm
Thanks ANNETTE Fabulous photo anddare I say what a beautiful bird the blue heron is
AQ- I still did not realize how large the clowns were until I saw them with your grandchildren!!! Absolutely stunning...
Love it, Annette!
Mary - Youre not droning on, it's interesting :-)
Just popping in - will be here properly tomorrow. ANNETTE- have been hearing about the wildfires, 10.000 fire fighters and road closed between LA and Vegas. Don't know if that is still the case.
Cruises- have never been on one but we have thought about it a few times. One day, maybe!
Wow, Annette - this is stunning:
Two very impressive birds! This actually reminds me of Monty's reaction at Dyfi last year when the grey heron appeared. He was not happy.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Evening all: Have read all the posts but too tired to make meaningful responses. Thanks to folks who responded to my earlier blatherings. Had cuppa tea with friend this morning then came home and snoozed for more than an hour in the garden. Lazy afternoon with nothing planned for the morrow other than a trip to the library. Hope everyone has a good Friday.
