How different yesterday has ended than the day before when the boys nestled together on the nest! One reason being that the cam inexplicably zoomed in around Night Cam time and never returned to normal. So we are not exactly sure who is on the nest tonight, though we can guess it is Willow. And we assume no one else is standing on the other side! Yesterday brought many flights on and off the nest for both siblings. Willow managed to fly off the nest with his fish, another milestone in a young osprey's development. Some speculated again about when EJ would venture fishing to support the increased volume needed of fish, now that both youngsters are airborne. And yet again Granny Smith supplied superb photos and a report of her visit to the VC.
One thing is certain, though the nest was empty a few times today, true ENS has not yet set in for us. Hopefully the cam pic will be normalized, and with good focus. :-?

I wish she'd come to the camera and pose. She is so beautiful!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Morning All. I am catching up, but meanwhile
09.40 EJ has been on the nest, calling. She is now joined by Rowan. Cam is still on zoom close up.
09.41 EJ has flown. Rowan is calling.

She's no longer alone:
She has flown.
I can read PP0 so that's Rowan on the nest (not Pot Plant Owl).
Rowan is having a bit of a hissy fit, jumping all over the place, ......
09.46 cam is being zoomed out. Thank you VC!!
Rowan has flown, but can still be heard, calling nearby
Good morning, BIRDIE and SHEILA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Delighted to see you ;-)
What an ear-bashing Rowan just gave me - but some super variety in there, Bynack would have been almost proud.
Cheerio for now, it's zonk time here :-)

LOL Scylla, funnily enough 'Bynack' came to my mind too!! Perhaps not quite as piercing, but not far off!
ENS. I wonder which nearby perch he is using. Quiet now....
Had to give your lovely snap the treatment, BIRDIE, whether you like it or not:
And we are back to normal on the nest, thanks for the phone heads-up, You-Know-Who-You-Are :-*
Goodnight !!!
Lovely pic Birdie/Scylla! Worthy of a snip to my pics :)
Rowan ? is calling again. Volumes adjusted to accommodate it!! ENS
