Footnote -- Annette : I see that I have named one of my flowers as a Camellia, when in fact it is a Peony! My brain has gone to mush.......
This afternoon, when I came back from lunch, I went with my trusty trowel in hand, to plant a Fuchsia I had just bought. When I sank down into my garden chair afterwards, I saw that right next to me on the garden table was the Fuchsia I had just planted! "How can that be?" I wondered.....
I had planted a Geranium which was next to the trowel on the bench! Later I had to go out and replant!
Glad that I am not the only one who has senior moments, LINDY!
I often think that OG has the best brain on here.
Actually, I think that everyone else on here has more sense than I do!
Do hope all of you who are/ have been experiencing the storms are through the worst.
LINDY Looks like you have come out in sympathy with your son. Get well soon to both of you.
Lindybird: I haven't got that confused in the garden yet - my favorite trick is forgetting tools - either to take out the correct ones in the first place or to bring them in at night when I'm done. Am now three lavender bushes into 8 total that need tidying up. :-(
Good day out despite light showers at times - visited Grimsthorpe Castle (really a large mansion). OH did the guided tour while I did just downstairs and then sat with a slide show on some of the artefacts and read the book. Got wet in the garden but it was so warm that we soon dried off - as much as anyone could on such a humid day! Last evening a baby pheasant walked up most of the farm lane in front of our car; this evening it was the turn of an adult Brown Hare! Cat was waiting at top of drive, so Hare bobbed into a hayfield part way.
Good to see everyone's posts - sorry about LINDA's tum - feel better soon!
Seeing BiL tomorrow as planned. Good night!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
The storms seem to have passed through now. Thank goodness. Daughter had to take a taxi home this evening, as the trains were chaotic because of flooding. The taxi had to take a detour to get her home.
Linda, I hope you will feel alright, after a good night's sleep.
OG, Enjoy tomorrow with your BiL. So pleased you are having such a good time.
Very tired tonight, so I am off to bed.
Brenda: So sorry the weather has been so distressing. I'm glad you're safe, as well as your daughter. Hope it will be kinder to you now. Hope everyone on this thread is safe. Get some rest now, Brenda.
Lindy: Feel better
Lots of destruction in Indiana last night, but my family didn't have any damage and are okay.Whatever happens with Brexit/Bremain, I hope it works out well for all of you. I'll be watching results tonight.
OG: Glad you're having a good time. I would like to see that brown hare. I have rabbits here, but I've never seen a hare in my life. The orange/rust-coloured rabbit is getting old. Last time I saw her, she looked rather grey and frail. Have a nice visit with brother-in-law.
Dang, Annette. Southern California can't catch a break. I just saw the news about the oil spill.
