All is well on the nest

Thank you for starting the day, LIMPY, with lovely photos.

Continuing my obsession with EJ's feathers, this is from just before she took off in your flyaway pics:

And this is #1 draping herself as an apron - she had been very fidgety - #2 was last seen tucked around to her side, but has not been seen much.

I have to be away from the cams for quite a while.

Just an update before I go:

I'm back, and EJ is feeding the osplets - well, she's juuuust finished.

I'll book this space for the catchup :-)

EJ got up for a flyaround, accompanied by the male cuckoo:

On her return she was very relaxed, preening, standing looking around:

An osplet pooped as they settled:

This is just because we can actually see an osplet's face:

So, no fish from Odin yet, EJ got up:

Encumbered by the kids:

And fetched the leftover to feed the osplets:

#2 got the last bite, when #1 had had her fill.  #2 getting darker by the hour :o

Thank You for starting us off Limpy with your pics.   Thanks to Scylla for continuing on with her pics on the overnight vigil :-)   I think CC snuck one in there too.

At the moment EJ is trying to cover chick 1 without any success.
