HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
I left a long reply on the end of last week's thread. I've got a nasty deadline this week for my project, so you all won't hear from me for a few days. I hope everyone has a great week! Eastern BluebirdLabelled Public Domain (Copyright Free)
Morning all:
Yas: AQ lives Down Under in Adelaide; I'm plain vanilla Annette and live in Santa Barbara, California where it's not sunny right now, but will be. Not Upstairs at Downton then? Oh my. Medical marijuana is different from the recreational kind I believe, but most docs here in California won't prescribe it. In some states the recreational kind is legal, but I don't know much about either. I remember Rita H's daughter's name - that was when Rita was married to Prince Aly Khan.
Off to friend's house. Take care all.

A few weeks ago, when Keith commented on his Hedgehogs, I said we hadn’t seen any since moving here 12 ½ years ago; today I spotted the next best thing – Hedgehog poo. Once I identified it, OH told me he saw some a week or so ago; we reckon we could have one living under our deadwood pile at the bottom of the garden. Trouble is, when you provide homes for wildlife, you are careful not to disturb the critters there, so don’t always find out what you have got!
Linda – I daren’t count the pots waiting to be washed – so probably just as many as yours!
Yas – my inflammatory conditions vary a lot. Indoors, I only use a stick occasionally, outside I use one in the garden (so I can get back in again!), sometimes I have to use two to get as far as the car; so I am sure people wonder, when they might see me hobbling on two sticks one day, then hoeing a flower bed the next! To go further than the car, I use a scooter. I did have a little one but got fed up with the battery failing, so now we always take the big one out with us. The worst part is that, being seated, I am below eye-level and “invisible” to anyone walking (and not just when they are busy texting on their mobiles and tablets) so they walk into me or stop suddenly in front of me and then shout at me for hitting them! As for using accessible toilets, where I do need the support bars, I usually park the scooter and walk in with sticks so I don’t get into difficulties with the door or trying to turn the machine to come out, and I often get sworn at by other disabled people who think I am okay because I can sometimes walk. So I understand how you feel, and can only suggest that you must do what is best for you.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Anyone want to know how to keep your lettuce lasting longer and crisper, well l will tell you for whom it may concern.
You put kitchen paper towel into a air tight bag line the bag with the paper, then put your lettuce in middle of the paper in the bag make sure theres air in the bag and seal it with clip ect and put in fridge, and every time you want some just keep the paper still in the bag don't worry if gets a bit crummbled after a while the paper, try not to push the bad hard against things in the fridge or will bruse it, and l found it really lasts longer. Got it off the web. yas
CLARE big gold star for Limpy.
OG Glad you are feeling better.
Thanks for that OG can't believe how rude people can be, and especially from ones that are not well themselfs and should know better.l thought about those scooters epecailly with rogers stiring, not sure if l'm brave enough, onice when l was well went to buy a moped tried it out in the back of the shop yard, pressed the wrong switich and nearly hit there new cars on display, and scrathed the bike, so said l think l'll have this one!!! ( by the way if my spellings not good l has they say get the right letters BUT not always in the right order) take care from Yas

There definitely has been some sort of inflammatory process going on - confirmed by blood tests - but her results today are lower than yesterday, will wait and see what tomorrow's results are like. Meanwhile, she is a reluctant inpatient!
Thats good to hear that her results are lower than yesterday heather lets hope they keep going that way. Yes must be hard stuck in there can't do what you want, and not sure whats wrong. all the best yas
HEATHER - is her husband home at the moment, or do you have the two girls with you?
