HAPPY NEW WEEK!

Last week's Chat thread is here.

I left a long reply on the end of last week's thread.

I've got a nasty deadline this week for my project, so you all won't hear from me for a few days. I hope everyone has a great week!

  • Heather, We are paying for all of this wedding. We only have one 'Daddy's girl'. LOL

Daughter-i-L's parents refused any financial assistance with Son's wedding. We paid for the couples'  honeymoon in South Africa instead.

I do think, that I wouldn't expect to pay if daughter was 50 though.

  • Hi Rosy thankyou for your welcome, glad you liked chelsea flower show, l went quite a few years ago, found it very busy and slow to get through the traffic, enjoyed to a point, just so tried when got home, then job sleeping cause some one down the valley where l live was playing loud music through the night which carrys up the valley, the days before we had double glazing.

Anyway glad you like the sherry and rasberries ldeal, my mother in law couldn't wait to get to the bottom of the tall glass to get to the sherry. take care Yas

  • Good to see you had a good journey home, Linda. No chance of hanging the washing outside here today, although it has stopped raining.

Hello Yas, I don't think I introduced myself. I live in East Sussex. We have a son and daughter. Son lives in Singapore and Daughter lives in London.

Rosy, We haven't been to Chelsea for a few years, but I have enjoyed it, but have been disappointed on occasions. I did like what I saw on the TV this year.

I was sorry to read about Keith's sad news. It must have been an extremely bad shock for them.

Annette, Waiting to hear about your excursions out on your bike.

Diane, Best wishes for the work that you have to complete quickly.

I watched Andy Murray's match on TV this afternoon. Good to see he finally won.

  • Hi Brenda nice to hear from you, seems like you have a busy time a head with the wedding if l've got it right. Hope all goes well on the day. from Yas

  • Just wanted to show you all my little rustic home, me and my husband fell in love with it has soon has we saw it, reminded us of the hobbits homes in Lord of the Rings our favourite films, it's cosy but only two of us, so ok, what do you think all of my new friends?   Yas

  • Yas- love your home! It definitely looks like a Hobbit home (which I also loved) Thanks for sharing...

  • YAS - My OH's late first wife used to make a sherry trifle at Christmas time, which was famous within the family! I do the same, not sure though, if it is as good as hers. The family mantra is 'dig right to the bottom of the bowl'.

My youngest daughter (36) is in hospital, taken in today with acute abdominal pain. After scans etc, they are unsure what is wrong but are thinking maybe appendix. She will stay in overnight.

I had an appointment with the dental hygienist this morning. She wasn't as critical as usual so I must be doing something right! When I returned, OH had the pressure hose out and was giving the car a good clean. I looked up to the sky but could see no flying pigs.

  • Just saw your house, YAS -  amazing. tell us more....

  • Not what I imagined, at all, Yas.  A definite eco friendly home. It looks so cosy. How far away is your nearest neighbour ? Thank you for showing it to us.
