HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
I left a long reply on the end of last week's thread. I've got a nasty deadline this week for my project, so you all won't hear from me for a few days. I hope everyone has a great week! Eastern BluebirdLabelled Public Domain (Copyright Free)
Wonderful weather again! OH and I both worked in the garden this morning – just tidying the front by weeding, hoeing, dead-heading and snipping here and there – I even took a few bits off the Willow (the ones which were tickling my neck when I was hoeing underneath it). Mostly indoors in the heat of the afternoon: I managed to iron five items this time, while OH prepped Rhubarb to freeze, and then we had several veg to attend to for dinner – a cheesey all-in-one veg bake which will thankfully cook itself! He is now outside weeding in the grasses bed – not always easy to see what is intended and what is wild!
Yas – how lovely to have a trail camera and the countryside to use it. Looking forward to you sharing some photos on here once you get the grass a bit shorter!
Linda – how lucky you could make the decision to stay the extra day in the lovely weather! I hope you are enjoying it, while being careful not to overdo the sunshine. Sorry you have been feeling a little bit unwell; I hope you are better today. Pleased you saw another lovely sunset. We also haven’t yet watched A Midsummer Night’s Dream from Sunday, but we did record it.
Annette – quick work getting the bike ready – now you can use it! I really don’t feel like the Energizer Bunnie most of the time – more like an ancient Tortoise, lumbering around; but I can’t resist doing things in the garden. I hope you and Daughter are enjoying your day.
Heather – pleased the sun came out for you, but hope you are both being careful if it is anything like as hot as here. I think you have been busier than me today (but I might do a bit more ironing this evening – especially as more will arrive in from the whirly-gig)!
J is now home, and I must go and throw the veg in the oven.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Well thanks OG hubbys just cut the grass so lets hope we get some good videos l use videos more because they come out better in the dark and nice to see what there up too, and they have a way of looking in the camera, so if l get a good one tonight will try to download it tomorrow and put on my video link at the bottom of this email, so you can watch if you want too. Yas
Lurker back from a super sunny warm 3 days in Perthshire..Left Dunkeld with a super sunny 23 ( not worn sleeves the whole time away) back to 12 at home. Looks like a lot of rain which is perfect for lawn treatment and all baskets still moist.
Lots of walks scenery and relaxing.
L of the L OK but sadly young female on till commenting on nests she doesn't understand fully. Another older guy who needs to go to customer care school. Loved the site but probably will never return.
More later as tea soon.
Collecting Daisy early afternoon but seeing some posts on FB from the kennels we might have to drag her away:-)
Pleased to see you've had a lovely time, Wendy. Shame about LotL.....
We had more sunny weather as promised, but it's much windier today. Went for one of our favourite walks alongside the Lake at Llanberis - drove through the town and were glad we didn't need to stop because it was just heaving! Of course, the Snowdonia train would be popular in this weather as you would get a terrific view from the top. My OH walked up it to the summit once, a few years ago, and they were in cloud & mist at the top so could see nothing at all!
This afternoon we had a blissful couple of hours of reading, then got into conversation with neighbours, as although some of them have left yesterday, to go to work today, others who are retired, have arrived. Lots of gossip and cups of tea!!
Edit - forgot to say, feeling much better, so relieved that my sore throat didn't develop into anything. :-)
AQ how are you feeling now? any better in anyway.Have read how the pain feels like " shards of ground glass inside your joints. only aren't glass but crystal of uric acid" must be terrible painful l feel for you. l'm sending you a photo that may put a smile on your face, some baby robins in a nest in my garden. take care from yas
YAS - just took a look at your earlier videos - marvelled at the baby Robins, and then came on here and found the nest photo! And what a lovely area you live in!
LINDA - good to see you have been out and about on your extra day!
Thanks OG l'm really very lucky have been here 18 yrs couldn't afford it now, but needed a lot doing to it then and prices lower, still needs some work but health problems have stopped it at the moment. glad you liked the videos they help me take me out of myself. from yas
My post hasn't posted! Trying again (never happened to me before)
YAS - I took a look at your earlier videos - marvelled at the baby Robins, and then found your photo of them above! Lovely to see.
LINDA - pleased you enjoyed time out on your extra day, and cups of tea with neighbours. Glad you are feeling better. Wishing you safe travel home tomorrow.
Realised today that I never posted any of our photos from the Falkirk trip - one day ...
Made contact with BiL today and arranged to meet up when we go southwards in a few weeks time - will travel from our B&B at Belvoir and he will travel northwards and meet for lunch half way - can't face that journey all the way to Cambridge again!
Oh, the silly thing did post! Don't know what is going on! Anyway, now longer second time around!
Don't worry OG you can never get too much of a good thing. Yas
