Hi everyone,
Well its been a day of exercising, fish bringing, and generally ospreys being ospreys. The weather could be a bit better though. Very windy again and it did rain yesterday, more in the evening than daytime.
The young ones keep getting up for a stretch and a mouch, but generally are keeping low because of the wind. EJ is probably in her tree.
Happy viewing and see you in the morning. Night, night.

EJ is on the nest, calling into the wind....
---this pic taken a few minutes ago, as the last of the day from the still cam, but the scene is still the same, now.
I have just been reading the RSPB main page and some people have said that Odin hasn't been seen for eight hours. Is that right?
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Can see no mention of him from the above posts, since he arrived at just before 8.00 am with a fish.
It will have been extremely difficult for him to catch fish today, in this weather.
Oh, well- here goes - The Teatime Fish List for today is:
Odin brought in a fish at approx. 7.59 am this morning........ that's 1 fish today, so far!
Strange optical illusion at the moment; it looks as if the nest & camera are still, while the landscape is moving - though logically, it must be the other way round.
Yes Sue, it is rather strange, I had to look away at one stage as I felt my eyes were not focusing correctly.

Thanks Lindybird the count is a bit different to what we and the 3 youngsters have been used to. Good job they have been well fed up until now, should stand them in good stead. Bit worrying that Odin has not appeared since this morning (here I go worrying again) but I am sure it will be too difficult to fish in that ferocious wind.

I thought it rather strange too until I realised that as the camera is also in a tree, they are all swaying together - so the scenery appears fixed instead of the other way round.
3 youngsters all sheltering in the bottom of the nest at present, wind still gusting.
If Odin is probably hiding in the center of a tree with enough foliage to break the wind.
Fortunately the chicks have been so well fed and their bones and feathers are nearly full grown. They will be fine with little food for a day or two . They had 7 fish yesterday .
Odin or EJ may attempt fishing later today if the wind diminishes
