Hi everyone,
Well its been a day of exercising, fish bringing, and generally ospreys being ospreys. The weather could be a bit better though. Very windy again and it did rain yesterday, more in the evening than daytime.
The young ones keep getting up for a stretch and a mouch, but generally are keeping low because of the wind. EJ is probably in her tree.
Happy viewing and see you in the morning. Night, night.

Alan, that makes sense to me as it is likely to be the earliest opportunity to carry it out (if the weather forecast is to be believed).
FlyingC: I'm sure that should any one of them fledge before the ringing takes place then the remaining two would be tagged. Hopefully it won't come to that as it would certainly be an "interesting" fledge if one of them took off in the conditions currently up at LG!
Hi all: 8 p.m. Thursday, eh? Thanks Alan. That means I stand a chance of watching it. Wind is bad. EJ is doing her one-footed yoga pose but seems to be wobbling.....

i'll try to record it and post it on y/t
Pharazon: A video would be great since quite a few of us may not catch it. I have to do some running around that day, but not sure of the schedule yet. Thanks in advance.
Oh my, EJ getting smacked about the head with one chick's flapping. If jsb's weather forecast warned that wind gusts could make people lose their footing (on summits - but who on earth would be up a summit in this weather!) what does that mean for ospreys! Gosh, hate to see them flapping on the far edge of the nest - one gust and..... it doesn't bear thinking about. Off to do Other Stuff.
It's actually quite difficult to pick out which one is EJ now
I can hardly bear to watch the 'helicoptering'
It sure is windy there today. I have to keep turning my sound off.
EJ just took off and showed them how it's done :-)
Best wishes Chris

All 3 standing up now and largest does a bit of wing flapping. Would think they are hungry now but I think it would be nearly impossible to catch fish at the moment but who know Odin or EJ will probably prove me wrong. Good job they have been fed so well so will not be too hungry at the moment. It is heart in mouth time at the moment with the largest intent on wing exercising.
Margobird
Another one now the other side of the nest having a go (think it is Titch) and EJ has left the nest. Got up in the air that time. Wish they would all sit down in the nest again.
It makes me so nervous too Woodpecker. I have to laugh as I had to turn the sound down but I think that is because I have been fitted with a hearing aid today and didn't realise until now how much I couldn't hear. Hope the wind will die down soon so Odin or EJ can fish.
At the moment i can only see two of the youngsters or is one of them laying over another. Panic over they are just in a big heap all together.
