Hi everyone,
Well its been a day of exercising, fish bringing, and generally ospreys being ospreys. The weather could be a bit better though. Very windy again and it did rain yesterday, more in the evening than daytime.
The young ones keep getting up for a stretch and a mouch, but generally are keeping low because of the wind. EJ is probably in her tree.
Happy viewing and see you in the morning. Night, night.

Looks drier but very windy. The young ones are having a preen and EJ is off the nest.
Have they had breakfast yet?
Hi Foxtail, nice to see you back. Having your house redecorated then, seriously I'm being nosy so don't bother to answer that.
It looks like the ringing and tagging will not take place today as they were hoping to because the wind is too strong. No doubt the main blog will let us know in due course what is happening.
Hi Foxtail & Lynette. They had a fish at 7.59 but none since. Probably difficult to fish as the wind ripples the top of the water, for seeing fish.
EJ came back, then left briefly but has now returned with some moss.
EJ is now back on the nest and over to the camera side watching something. Now right on the very edge having a job to stay on but has flown again. One of the young is chirping away at times and looking where mum has gone. The other two sitting and looking.
Back mum comes with some moss for the fortifications and insulation of the nest. Wing exercising begins.
Youngsters now examining the moss and are decidedly unimpressed!
Richard has described his frustration at having to postpone the ringing today. See the main blog for more details.

there's a new post at the bottom of the latest blog from Richard Thraxton btw..
Thanks, Pharazon & jsb.
More 'wingercise' going on - everyone is taking a bashing, including EJ as there is not much room for it with all four of them on the nest.
EDIT; As I typed the above, EJ flew off - don't blame her!
All laying down again, now...
