Hi everyone,
Well its been a day of exercising, fish bringing, and generally ospreys being ospreys. The weather could be a bit better though. Very windy again and it did rain yesterday, more in the evening than daytime.
The young ones keep getting up for a stretch and a mouch, but generally are keeping low because of the wind. EJ is probably in her tree.
Happy viewing and see you in the morning. Night, night.

Barbara Jean, Alan reported yesterday that the eldest chick at Tweed Valley fledged at 47/48 days old before it was ringed. LG's oldest chick is 47 days old.
Morning all - Can't even begin to imagine how windy it must be at LG, here in Inverness our back garden sounds just like the sounds from the nest area. Such strong gusts that I was momentarily frightened as pots blew over and fruit tree branches waved ferociously at me.
All is the same on the nest, for those not getting a picture - EJ braving the windy weather & the 3 youngsters lying down, although some of them are trying to preen.
Hi HeatherB. Sorry you are having such weather. I heard the weather on TV this morning where your weather was described as Autumnal and definitely not the weather for July.
Oh Dear... one of the GEM's (# 1?) is trying to practice flying... be careful.. oooh...
Seems to know its got to face into the wind... the others are looking up from their lying position as if to say 'are you crazy?'
I was just watching that Linda. I find myself holding my breath and wishing it would lie down again.
Stopped to preen now....
All lying down again, and still looking out for Mum or Dad .... did I say that EJ left a while ago? maybe gone fishin' ---
Hi Everyone, not been in here for a while as everything has been hectic in my 'other' life LOL. Have been watching the webcam whenever I can tho'. Carpet fitters in today so I am confined to a couple of downstairs rooms with not much to do for half an hour or so. I hope everyone is well. Looking slightly better weather (dare I say so?!) at Loch Garten today, although still not very nice. I see our GEM's have been having a bit of practice flapping. It's very exciting although it reminds me how quickly the time is passing and that they will be getting ready to leave us in a few weeks. It seems only just the other day that I saw EJ arriving home from Africa :( Looking forward to the ringing and tagging and finding out what sex, weight etc our young osprets are.
