Hi folks, hope you enjoyed the revalries (not sure of the spelling)and relaxed in America. Hi to our Finnish and Australian friends and anyone whom I have missed out.
Its been a very windy day at LG with I think 5 fish delivered in total. EJ had a job to stay on the nest at times and during the course of the day we found her huddled next to her young ospreys trying to keep them dry and sheltered from the wind. Of course they are too big for that and at times she was the one trying to get under them. She is off the nest at the time being and our youngsters are staying tight on the nest in a huddle. Do hope the wind dies down by morning so that they can be ringed and blinged and soon we shall know their names.
If it stays too windy they will try another day, but hopefully sometime this week.
Happy viewing and night, night.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Three young ones all preening and EJ nagging Odin ... I don't know if he's sitting eating a fish or if he's just sitting!

well, theres definitly a fish in the nest now, but i didn't see it arrive..
maybe Odin just dropped in for a second
two are being fed, the other is not interested, although i have no idea who is who anymore
Good afternoon all just logged in to see EJ feeding one of the youngsters (thin k it was Titch), looked as though the other 2 are not interested or have already eaten. Now I look and EJ finishing off the fish and now doing some housework. Sounds as thought the wind has eased just little. Now I look again and I think it is No.2 who has found something in the nest and is eating. Also sounds as though EJ is calling again.
Margobird
Largest is now trying out his "take off equipment" again but deciding perhaps it is safer just to preen for now.
I missed the fish and feeding! Maybe it was the fish Odin was eating when EJ started nagging a while back :-)
Unknown said: Latest forecast is that the wind will continue to ease this afternoon and tonight with a SW flow of 9mph by tomorrow at 9am with clear skies according to the BBC.

Thanks Alan maybe tomorrow with the be the day, hope so as I have to go out Wednesday.
Caught up again, not much happening. Listening to the weather forecaste at lunchtime it said there would be gale force winds coming into the West following through to the East later on in the week. The wind now should die down by tonight they reckon.
All three were up and about, now two are sitting down and one is preening itself. EJ doing her yogoa at the back of the nest.
Can anyone identify the bird chirping in the background from time to time.?
EJ now shouting for Odin to come in. All three sitting down .
