Hi folks, hope you enjoyed the revalries (not sure of the spelling)and relaxed in America. Hi to our Finnish and Australian friends and anyone whom I have missed out.
Its been a very windy day at LG with I think 5 fish delivered in total. EJ had a job to stay on the nest at times and during the course of the day we found her huddled next to her young ospreys trying to keep them dry and sheltered from the wind. Of course they are too big for that and at times she was the one trying to get under them. She is off the nest at the time being and our youngsters are staying tight on the nest in a huddle. Do hope the wind dies down by morning so that they can be ringed and blinged and soon we shall know their names.
If it stays too windy they will try another day, but hopefully sometime this week.
Happy viewing and night, night.

Thanks for the clip Pharazion I was watching when EJ was shouting and frantically mantling but typically missed the inttruder landing on the nest. Just watched EJ finishing up a fish and some very vigourous wing exercising from No. 1 I think. Wish that wind would go away. It will be my luck that the ringing and tagging is done on Wednesday when I have to go for my hearing aid fitting so I will then miss it all.

Good mroning DjoanS I am not surprised your budgie wasn't to keen on all that noise. When EJ is as annoyed as that she gets louder and louder.
Fantastic capture Farazon. I saw it but unable to capture it, over too quickly.
All the youngsters are up and preening ect. There is some fish left and EJ is feeding those who want some.
EJ now feeding two of the chicks the remnants of Odin's fish from earlier
all up and two of them being fed by EJ with the leftovers.
Not sure whether its radio chaffinch back or another bird. All three are mouching about the nest and one of them is still feeding from EJ.
Hi everyone. Thanks for starting the thread Lynette. Many Thanks to everyone for all the brilliant pics, updates etc. That was a fair degree of excitement with the earlier intruder. Thanks for all the posts, as I saw it but was doing other things at the time. At least its not as windy as yesterday but still quite blustery. Hope it doesn't get windier today.Anyway I have to out soon so I'll finish this before it turns into "War & Peace". I'll let the Ospreys do the talking. :-)
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Latest forecast is that the wind will continue to ease this afternoon and tonight with a SW flow of 9mph by tomorrow at 9am with clear skies according to the BBC.
All quiet on the nest with EJ keeping watch.
Back later, must go and do some housework.
