I still can't get over the fox as he was a splendid speciman. We forgave whoever called our number because we would not have seem him but for that.
I will give the donkeys a pat for you and fingers crossed for a dry day at least.
Margobird
Morning all,
Thanks for all the overnight and early morning reports and pictures. Odin has been amazing fishing in this weather especially that one last evening when it was nearly dark. Weather forecast is not good for this week but as long as Odin keeps fishing like this everything should be fine.
EJ has gone on another flyabout. I suppose after yesterday being couped up on the nest sheltering her family, she needs to have more frequent breaks. Back she comes, chirping to the chicks, with a large stick for the fortifications. Every time she does this they think its meal time, its so funny to watch. They soon begin to settle again. EJ carries on with the housework.
EJ beginning to call again, can she see Odin.
Just logged on, after a brief look first thing this morning ... and what a lot of 'nest news' to catch up on ... thanks for all the posts! Thank goodness its dry at the moment. Wrong thread I know, but wanted to wish Margobird a great 'Donkey Day' and great to hear about your fox!

I've been busy, so thought there might have been another fish by now. EJ certainly alert and looking for Odin.
EJ surveys the heap of chicks -- "did I really lay those eggs only a few days ago?......."
EJ flies off again, prob. on a mission for more stick fortifications....
And she's off again, chicks are dozing.Back with a large stick. Building up the nest. Must get those edges built up so they don't fall out.
EJ fly in with big stick. Sorry, no pic.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Yes, back with a stick again. ... you can see her just coming in to land here....
she lands with the stick on top of the chicks, waking them all up!
