Daily Update (LG Nest) Monday 7th June

Good morning all.  Its been a miserable day at LG with rain most of the time.

EJ keeping her brood warm and dry and at the moment looking towards the camera.  Hi EJ.

Hope Odin can bring in the goods tomorrow, he was superb today despite the weather.

Happy watcing.

  • Thanks for starting a new thread so promptly Lynette.  A few people posted very late on yesterday's Update, including Wattle, who noted an amusing incident that most people apparently didn't catch (it involves Titch!).  Also, AQ said Good morning and Heron, who posted just after midnight UK time, has had internet connection problems, but that didn't stop him from praising Odin.

Lynette: It might be helpful to folks in various time zones if you post a little note at the end of the "old" thread alerting them that you're starting a new one so they don't assume they're on the latest one?  We're scattered all over and I have a hard enough time figuring out which day it is here, let alone in Oz, Finland, or anywhere else.  :-)

  • Hi.

Thanks for starting the new thread, Lynette.

Annette, don't worry about figuring out what day it is.  It's June 2010 and I sometimes have to stop myself from writing "/09" when puting a date down.  I probably start automatically writing "/10" around late november time. LOL

Ach! I'm sure I'm starting to hear ...ing rain on the  LG camera.  Honestly people if my prose was the same as my voice, there would be astices (spelling?) as far as the internet browser can see.  Sorry to get too technical but the ISP's performance on Sunday and this early part of Monday BST, has been about as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit.  Useless doesn't even cover it.  Of course we've had trouble on and off with this ISP for months now, so I should probably be used to it.  Ospreys they most certainly are not.  Totally negates a night's sleep.

EJ trying to keep the chicks sheltered and get some rest.  She certainly puts in a penomominal shift.

  • The chicks are very restless as I type this (2.40am).  Poor EJ must learn to snore so she can frighten them off and get a decent night's kip.  LOL.

  • And as I check after hitting "Post", they now all look quite settled.  I'll hit post fairly quickly so they don't start pestering EJ again.  ACH!!! Grrrrrrr. Sorry that was just the Internet connection.  Right here goes...

  • So sorry I forgot to mention for anyone who's interested we're now getting email alerts from the LG Ospreys pages again.

    Chicks still looking fairly peaceful.

  • EJ is up at this hour feeding the chicks left overs . It is not even 3:30 A.M.

Guess who is in the front of the food line?

    Formerly known as Barbara Jean

  • Two stuffed chicks and one being stuffed. EJ is getting most now.

  • Snack time over, EJ attempts to settle on squirming heap of chicks

  • Had last post typed but decided to scrub as I started at 3.15am and the internet connection is acting so bad that my gibberish was thankfully overtaken by a very nice event.

    Very early breakfast.

  • And now EJ settles lovingly on her brood.  And probably mutters a few not so loving words about the weather.
