  • Evening AQ and Heron: OH is doing dinner dishes; I'm probably going to hose myself down before I grab some chocolate and a cup of something and back here...

  • We have daylight!

  • They are eating again. I don't know if Odin delivered a fish or if it is more left overs

Have you really looked at how fat they are getting?

We may need to make donations to buy custom made harnesses and a hot air balloon. Those chicks  will be to heavy to fly

  • Hey Barbara Jean:  Maybe rent a Jumbo Jet? Or see AQ's post on Weekly Chat re a kookaburra that was too fat to fly and ended up with its own personal trainer.   EJ is having such a hard time trying to cover the chicks.

LOL especially about the kookaburra . Sheesh When the Kookaburra is in shape send the personal trainer to LG

  • Well, our chicks haven't been eating hot dogs - unless Odin's been a the local snack bar instead of fishing. I wonder how much they gain over the course of a day on average.

  • I don't know how much they gain in a day. But look at their backs when they are eating. They are  not only growing taller they are getting very wide  !!

A couple of times chick # 1 or 2  just laid there and let EJ reach down and put the food in it's beak . They eat so much they topple over

  • All this talk about osprey weight gains has got me thinking.  Do ospreys have the answer: "I'm not fat, I'm just big feathered"?

    Sorry couldn't resist that.

  • I can't get over the way poor EJ is perched like a bump on a log on top of those chicks.
