Ej is resting and trying to keep the chicks warm but they are getting quite big now and it makes it harder for her to keep them under her breast at night..
At least now she seems to be catching a quick nap.

Odin came back with a fish, but was alarm calling straight away, so flew off with it---- then he returned again,
then he flew off again!
!
this is the 1st return, EJ tried but failed to take the fish from him, then he came back again!!
Intruder alert, Odin brought in a fish but was off again after the intruder after EJ had told him to.
EJ on the edge of the nest at the moment, still the intruder around, mantling and very anxious.
Another intruder alert ... and I think Odin landed with a fish but took off after the intruder... chicks all playing dead again.

Where has the fish gone?
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Great pics everyone... all this drama...
Now EJ is trying to sit on the chicks again, but is looking around which is not surprising.
When that all happened, I was just going to post a pic of the chick stretching its neck to an amazing length trying to see over the edge of the nest....
--it was even longer than in this pic, and looked like a giraffe!
She is still alert with two of the little ones peeping out from under her.
Odin took the fish, Sandy. I expect he'll come back with it after a bit of a nibble!
Good afternoon all have been out all morning at hairdresser, wonderful day to go as it was pouring with rain.
Thanks to all for all the wonderful pics of 3 very stuffed chicks from yesterday and magnificent Odin 8 fish in total. Also thanks for the pics taken today. Saw Odin come in with a fish twice but then fly away again. EJ looked agitated and was mantling furiously so I gather the intruder which was bothering them earlier came back. Hopefully Odin will come back with the fish. EJ has managed to get all her family underneath her and probably a good thing as it sounds so windy there again. Have there just been 2 fish so far today. Will be out again tomorrow morning as I have a dentist check up so will miss time again watching them.

Odin returns with the fish and EJ now feeding the chicks while Odin does a bit of housework on the nest.
