Ej is resting and trying to keep the chicks warm but they are getting quite big now and it makes it harder for her to keep them under her breast at night..
At least now she seems to be catching a quick nap.

Now it becomes like the Great Escape Film, with chicks emerging all over:
EJ alarm calling and mantling on nest. Now watching to the side, something has spooked her.
Intruder at 13:50 and the babies are playing dead.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Another Intruder Alert:
EJ shouts and flaps, the chicks keep their heads down in the nest.
been busy this morning so just catching up with news of an intruder ... and as I write an intruder upsets EJ ... calling and mantling ... and you could see the shadow flying over the nest

She is being very alert so it must still be around.
Now she has had difficulty in getting back over the chicks, as they are very lively:
however, she does eventually sit down, but looks very alert now.
One chick ( Number 1 ??) seems reluctant to sit under Mum and would rather see what's going on....
I can't believe how quickly the chicks are growing ... no wonder EJ is having problems keeping them underneath her ... the one out at the front looks as if it is panting in the heat ... I'm sure its not that warm though! If Odin keeps on bringing in huge amounts of fish they will never be hungry and there will be plenty for all. Oooops .. its another headless EJ pic!
