Well it is still raining and poor EJ after almost a midnight feast for her and the chicks it started again.
Do hope today proves to be better than yesterday although listening to the rain you do wonder.
Good morning to all you who watch from overseas and keep us informed whilst we are in our beds.
Goodnight from me and goodnight from EJ.

I saw that the stills cam had recorded her leaving the nest briefly. I heard her calling, but did not see Odin, so that explains it. Thanks Barbara Jean. She must know when its gone bad??

Thanks Barbara Jean for putting me right. At least they all seem to be getting some. Think she must have been storing it in her larder and as it has been so cold would think the fish is fine.
Margobird
Morning everyone. Its a damp dreich day here with heavy showers interspersed with prolonged rainfall. Thanks for all the clips and pics as ever. I managed to see the last feed and EJ eventually gave up on the tail after trying several times to swallow it whole. I'm looking forward to plenty of time osprey watching today and sympathise with all those who are having typical bank holiday weather. Last weekend the weather was so hot and pleasant we will have to accept the rain graceously. Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.
Thanks for good wishes, Emma. Sorry its not dry there. Saw EJ swallow the tail whole yesterday, they certainly don't waste anything.
Just to confirm that the last feed was of the leftover fish (presumably) delivered earlier today. The temperature at LG is currently 7 degrees celsius, so the prospect of any fish going off quickly is slim.
Odin came back, briefly, and shouted an alarm- then he flew off, presumably to see off any threat. EJ is looking around. Can hear some geese flying by in the distance.
All is quiet, except for the birdsong. EJ is looking alert, and maybe looking for Odin & more fish.
---she certainly has some smart new feathers now she's moulted.

Maybe she put some moss over it so Odin would not think it was available for him to take. LOL
She must realize the bad weather makes fishing difficult and she is storing fish for the times when Odin can't catch a fish for them. The intelligence of these birds is amazing
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
I agree Barbara Jean. These birds are so intelligent and it never cease to amaze me. Wind seems to be getting stronger now. EJ is dutifully keeping the chicks sheltered.
Afternoon all, been out all morning so catching up with pics and posts. Thanks for all the news.
Great pics from everyone.
EJ just sitting at the moment, looking round, arranging moss now and again and keeping her precious family warm and dry. It certainly looks windy there again.
